We spend a significant portion of our lives in working environments or formal surroundings. TheSuitcase explores the moments in life where we need a sense of shelter and a shield of formality that enables us, as women, to function at our best. The items are designed with different lifestyles and wardrobes in mind, carrying a feminine note at their core, without exaggeration

The Marches region is a crude and honest beauty with an unusual resistant spirit to maintain its traditions. This simplicity and sheltered way of existence overwhelms single outbeats of appearence.  Visitors find themselves calming down and becoming part of the landscape and local life.

To let new ideas make their mark in our collections, we need to set boundaries according to our resources. At the same time, once-in-a-lifetime treasures come alive in collaboration with the most inspiring weaving experts in Italy and Europe. Our compositions are primarily natural fiber mixes—except when made for specific functions, which we will always highlight for you.

This particular spot in Italy was where artisans generously shared their knowledge and experience with Agnes Kemeny, founder of TheSuitcase. Each piece added integrates new insights achieved by working side by side with the makers and following through with the entire design and production process."

Rural life is a blend of beauty and challenge. TheSuitcase captures this atmosphere by weaving together textures, colors, and shapes, distilling them into a unique essence. In rural settings, boundaries play a crucial role, as resources are limited and must be managed with care. This approach differs from the concept of circular consumption, focusing instead on creativity within the confines of these limits—always with the long term in mind.

This journey started for Agnes with a choice at age 13: choosing to learn the Italian language and immerse herself in its culture. It became a journey of building a life from scratch in Italy—earning a degree in fashion design, working for high-end companies in Milan, and later collaborating with family enterprises and local factories. It's about slowly connecting the dots of a three-decade life experience. It is not just about 'Made in Italy' , it is about 'Making while living in Italy.'"

In different ways, we are all on the move and need more flexibility than ever. At the same time, we are relying on limited resources. How do we keep the balance? This core question shapes all of our intentions and actions in the company. How does the aesthetics change if balance is the core intention? Each newly designed item adds a new perspective to this puzzle. Explore the journey we have made so far 

TheSuitcase is a reflection of countless fresh starts, numerous lifestyle changes, and many city moves, all while juggling a little car and too many belongings. It’s a nod to valuing thoughtful curation and creative smartness over endless decluttering. For busy souls mastering the art of balance, it's about spending less time on wardrobe issues and more on uplifting the spirit through little changes instead.

What we are truly unique in is our life path, which we often ignore as an individual process. We don't want to be put in a box; we would like to choose for ourselves where to belong. This makes us meet again, in our freedom of personal expression. TheSuitcase explores silent design to offer you maximum freedom of styling according to your vision. We design, you refine.

This is the mascot of the workshop, based in the Marches: the first industrial machine inherited from a family-owned factory where it sewed the labels of Italy's most famous brands. It is a reminder of longevity through shared knowledge and collaboration.

TheSuitcase is located in a region with many active factories and workshops. This setup allows us to source components and machine parts with short delivery distances, which is increasingly rare today. We appreciate the practical advantages this local network provides for our operations.

Especially during the low season, when the cold winds sweep across the Adriatic Sea, a unique festive atmosphere begins to emerge. It evokes the scenes captured in countless paintings created by famous Italian painters, including some born in Pesaro-Urbino. Nature weaves its presence into everyday life, offering a perfect balm for the soul and an invitation to ‘listen’ to the view.

The most intriguing topics to study are the alterations of conventional shapes; the world between fitted and unisex garments seems infinite when movement steps onto the scene.

The guides are the light, the climate, and your feedback. Design is applied art: always specific, always aiming to solve different problems for small, distinct groups in an elegant way. Choice is a constant exercise: what to keep and how to change that truly makes a difference? Our limits often hide a hint of possibility to move on , if we know ourselves well enough. Agnes is inspired by slow shifts: in nature, our society, and the way our bodies age. This is what guides her when creating a new shape: sensations and impressions linked to specific moments in life.
